Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-09-29

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ggfreela. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, accessing or using ggfreela you fully accept these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any provision, you must not use the platform.

These terms apply to all users, including freelancers, clients and freelancer-buyers, and are complemented by the specific rules and limits shown on the platform.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of these terms, the following definitions apply:

  • ggfreela: the platform that connects freelancers and clients, intermediating contact, negotiation, payments and dispute mediation.
  • Freelancer: the user who offers services, sends proposals and delivers projects.
  • Client: the user who publishes projects, receives proposals and hires services.
  • Freelancer-Buyer: the user who may act as both freelancer and client on the platform.
  • Project: the demand published by a client describing the service to be done, the budget and the deadline.
  • Proposal: the offer sent by a freelancer with the price and the deadline to execute the project.
  • Credits: the balance used to send proposals, granted by the plan or purchased separately.
  • Balance: the amount in reais deposited by the client, used to guarantee offers and pay for services.

3. Eligibility and registration

To use ggfreela you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts. Registration requires true, complete and up-to-date information.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your data and for keeping your password safe. Do not share your access credentials and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Each person may keep a single account. Duplicate accounts created to bypass sanctions, limits or plans may be blocked.

4. Account types and plans

ggfreela offers freelancer, client and freelancer-buyer accounts. The account type may be changed at any time and defines which features are available to you.

Some features depend on paid plans and credits. Prices, benefits and limits of each plan are described on the plans page and may be changed with prior notice.

Credits granted by a plan are renewed in the period informed at the time of subscription, do not accumulate between cycles and have no cash value.

5. Rules for freelancers

Freelancers must keep the negotiation inside the platform and respect the following rules:

  • Do not publish, send or request contact details such as phone, email, social networks or messaging apps in profiles, portfolios, proposals, questions or chat, before a contract is formed.
  • Do not ask for or accept payments outside the platform.
  • Do not mention or question the platform intermediation fee.
  • Deliver the work agreed within the deadline and the scope defined in the accepted proposal.
  • Do not copy, plagiarise or deliver third-party material without the proper authorization.
  • Do not publish offensive, discriminatory or illegal content.
  • Do not offer work in exchange for commission, barter or any other form of payment outside the platform.

6. Rules for clients

Clients must also keep the negotiation inside the platform and:

  • Pay for the services only through the platform, using the balance guaranteed at the moment the proposal is accepted.
  • Do not ask freelancers for contact details or propose payments outside the platform.
  • Do not request unpaid test work or free samples as a condition to hire.
  • Describe the project clearly, including deliverables, requirements and the desired deadline.
  • Treat other users with respect and do not publish offensive content.

7. Prohibited conduct

The following conducts are prohibited on the platform, among others:

  • Practising fraud, impersonation or misrepresentation of identity.
  • Publishing fake projects or projects with no real intention of hiring.
  • Sending spam, mass proposals or repetitive messages with no relation to the project.
  • Using the platform for illegal activities or for content prohibited by law.
  • Collecting data from other users, scraping pages or automating access without authorization.
  • Bypassing limits, sanctions, plans or security mechanisms of the platform.
  • Opening disputes or requesting refunds in bad faith.

8. Sanctions

Breaches of these terms may lead to a warning, temporary suspension of features such as publishing projects and sending proposals, or permanent ban of the account, depending on the severity and the recurrence of the conduct.

In case of ban, the user loses access to the account, and other accounts of the same person may be blocked. Amounts owed for work already delivered may still be released, after analysis by the platform.

ggfreela may remove content, cancel projects and refuse new registrations whenever it identifies risk of fraud, illegality or breach of these terms.

9. Publishing and moderation of projects

Projects go through moderation before publication. ggfreela may correct typos, remove links and contact details and adjust the formatting of the text, without changing the nature of the demand.

A project may be rejected when it fits one of the following cases:

  • Duplicate projects or projects already published by the same client.
  • Job vacancies with an employment relationship, instead of a freelance service.
  • Incomplete, undefined or unintelligible projects.
  • Illegal, offensive or discriminatory content.
  • Advertising, disclosure of third-party products or services, or referral links.
  • Work offered without payment, in exchange for commission, barter or profit sharing.
  • Academic work or any activity that characterises fraud.

10. Proposals, credits and hiring

Sending proposals consumes credits. The amount of credits per proposal and the monthly limit depend on your plan and are shown before you confirm the submission.

To accept a proposal the client must have enough balance to cover the full value of the service. The amount is held by the platform until the delivery is confirmed or the project is cancelled.

The accepted proposal defines the scope, the price and the deadline of the project. Changes must be agreed between the parties in the platform chat before the execution.

11. Payments and escrow

Deposits are made by PIX or credit card, through third-party payment gateways, and are subject to the fees and processing times of each method.

The client pays the full amount of the service. The intermediation fee is deducted from the freelancer earnings at the moment the funds are released.

ggfreela is not a financial institution and does not pay interest or financial yields over the balance kept on the platform. The balance is used exclusively to guarantee the projects in progress.

12. Delivery and confirmation

The freelancer must deliver the work within the agreed deadline and mark the project as delivered on the platform. The client must then confirm the delivery or request adjustments, describing the pending items.

If the client does not respond within the period indicated on the platform, ggfreela may review the delivery and release the payment to the freelancer.

Deliveries, files and agreements must happen inside the platform. Content sent outside the platform is not considered as proof in a dispute.

13. Balance, withdrawals and release periods

Freelancer earnings become available for withdrawal after the release period informed on the platform, which varies according to the plan and to the payment method used by the client.

Refunds from cancelled or mediated services also stay pending for a period before becoming available.

Withdrawals require identity verification and are subject to the minimum amount and to the fees shown before you confirm the request. Requests are manually reviewed before payment.

14. Cancellation, refunds and chargebacks

A project may be cancelled before the delivery is confirmed. If the work has already started, the dispute flow must be used to define how the amount will be split between the parties.

Refunds are preferably made through the original payment method. Fees charged by the payment method and optional features already used are not refundable.

Chargebacks opened directly with the card operator lead to the analysis of the account and to the suspension of new withdrawals until the case is resolved.

15. Disputes and mediation

Either party may open a dispute in the project conversation when there is a disagreement about the scope, the deadline or the delivery.

The parties may resolve the dispute by agreement at any time. If there is no agreement, a moderator analyses the case and applies a final decision, which may split the amount between freelancer and client.

The analysis takes into account the scope of the project, the accepted proposal, the deliveries made, proof of delivery and the messages exchanged in the platform chat.

16. Intellectual property and copyright

The rights over the delivered work are transferred to the client when the payment is released. Until then, the client may not use the delivered material.

After the transfer, the freelancer may not reuse, resell or publish the delivered material without the client authorization.

The freelancer is responsible for guaranteeing that the delivered work is original and does not violate third-party rights, including copyright, trademarks and image rights.

17. Personal data

The processing of personal data on the platform follows our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms and describes what data we collect, how we use it and what your rights are.

Identity and address verification data is used exclusively to confirm your identity and to unlock withdrawals and other features that require verification.

18. Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time in your account settings. Projects, proposals, messages and financial records linked to your account may be kept for the legal periods described in the Privacy Policy.

ggfreela may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, that present risk of fraud or that are used for illegal activities, without prejudice to the amounts owed for projects already delivered.

19. Limitation of liability

ggfreela acts as an intermediary between freelancers and clients. We do not guarantee the quality, the deadline or the result of the services, nor the accuracy of the information published by users.

ggfreela is not responsible for negotiations, payments, files or agreements made outside the platform, nor for the use of the delivered material by the client.

Freelancers act autonomously, with no employment, partnership or representation relationship with ggfreela.

ggfreela is not responsible for unavailability caused by third parties, such as payment gateways, internet providers or hosting services, nor for indirect damages resulting from the use of the platform.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you of significant changes and continued use means acceptance.

The current version is always available on this page and the date of the last update is informed at the top of the document.

21. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the Brazilian law, including the Civil Code, the Consumer Defense Code and the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).

Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the Brazilian courts, and the court of the consumer domicile will prevail when the Consumer Defense Code applies.
